Chris and I have been discovering new conservation land. Walking in the woods these days feels like we’re pioneering uncharted lands. Do not as many people go there anymore? There is so much wild, rugged natural beauty all around us.
The light was brewing with storm on this blustery humid walk. We took our time, inspecting mushrooms and scat and listening to wind and startled deer. The tattered aluminum siding on the old piggery flapped hauntingly in the breeze, industrial waste blending into landscape.
